Khunji who is from the Kingdom of Bahrain, studied in New York at the Parsons School of Design and The International Center of Photography. Her work is documentary. Khunji has traveled throughout the U.S., Cuba, Iran, India, the Dominican Republic and various other countries documenting war, poverty, gender issues, and religion.
