Greg "Craola" Simkins is the perfect mix of Renaissance Art and Graffiti. He uses a lot of animals for inspiration and describes art as "His visit to another World" similar to "Alice in Wonderland". The animals are what gives his work the Renaissance type feel and then he adds a touch of darkness. His work has most likely influenced your favorite tattoo artist since his work is depicted in today's tattoo shops.
The pure detail of Simkins work and mastery of this highly technical approach is truly amazing. What talent! And what discipline...absolutely beautiful work...I loved the interview. He is one of the most important contemporary artists out there today and has such a brilliant future. Quite an inspiring story.
