Native American Art

I decided for my second blog to be on the subject of Native American art. This is an art form that I really do love. My grandmother introduced my to this art at an early age. Every since my childhood I have been drawn to this art. Due to the fact that most Native American art can not be trace back to there beginnings accurately some of their art may be difficult to point out which tribe they come from. Like any other artist, the basic role of the Native American artist is to conjure emotions and to make the viewer think. Thousands of years Native American art history has evolved from cave drawing to ornate jewelry, basketry, pottery and blanket designs. Take a look at the video and tell me what you think of the following art work.

  1. I actually did a campaign using their art and their quotes. Once you learn about their beautiful culture, their belief and the message they want to convey you will be mesmerize on how much they care about their environment, the human life and their relationship with their surrounding. Their art does have a purpose. It's their message to their future generations, their appreciation to their Gods and recording history. The color skims have meaning and values beyond RGB,CMYK,Primary,Secondary. They talk with the color they use. Their art is true expression of their life, their feelings and their missions.
