Diet Wiegman - Light Sculptures

Diet Wiegman’s light sculptures are an assembly of various objects and some trash, which makeup heaps of seemingly abstract sculptures. However, when you shine a light from a precise angle and off shiny surfaces on the same assembly of objects and trash, you see perfectly formed shadows. Although his work includes ceramics, paint and photography, I was really drawn to his light sculptures.  I am fascinated with how he was able to create an optical illusion for his viewers.  These pieces are amazing.
